Backpacking

Iceland has an incredible variety of unique hidden gems known only to a few arctic foxes, migrating birds, and our ever-investigating team, which –had they been on continental grounds further south- would all be turned into marked paths, labeled, listed and shortlisted …yet they have barely ever seen a living soul since Iceland first emerged from the abyss millions of years ago. These paths don’t even know they exist, yet here they are, before the feet of a free man. Hiking the great outdoors becoming more and more of a vital craving, a few marked routes have appeared and rapidly reached worldwide acclaim, such as the Laugavegur hiking trail, linking the core of the volcanic belt through to the ocean at the south coast. Well marked and offering several mountain huts along the way, it is a beautiful introduction to the area before you gain enough confidence to wander off into the wilderness. But these celebrity hikes are only just the tip of the iceberg…
Fjallabak will take you on that deep dive of a journey into the heart of this unfathomable land.

Other backpacking trips will soon be put on line !
