Nature tours in Iceland

Beautiful Iceland is a "huge-small" country, very little populated with great unspoiled territories. But even with only 300.000 inhabitants, human activity has become more aggressive the last decades. Industrial fisheries, whale hunting, big megalomaniac industrial projects are a real threat for some of the most beautiful and naturally preserved large spots of Europe. Until recently the direct impact of human activities have been very little in this remote large island. Like every where greed associated to technology (modernism) is driven us to a future we don't know.

Sorry to start the presentation of this page with such a pessimistic attitude but we would like to point out again how fragile is the environment of our unique planet, even if official propaganda is talking about Iceland as unspoiled. Ourself are taking part in this process with our own quota of carbon pollution as travel organizer, but we are very conscious of this and we try to have as small impact as possible. At least we are actively opposed to irremediable destruction and blind profit.

But let be optimistic also:
