Trekking from 7 to 9 days

The current crisis that the whole world is going through due to the covid 19 epidemic will force us to reshuffle our next season and certainly have to reduce the number of departures to focus on some of our favorites and where there are already participants registered. An online update will be made in January 2021 April and a second in early May. If the epidemic is not completely eradicated by the start of summer 2021, we will then notify and take certain measures and options, such as camping in single or double tent instead of sleeping in a refuge .

ADVENTURE IN UNKNOWN TERRITORY WITH A TRUE SPECIALIST

Designed and organized in the tradition of trekking

In the primary and infinite nature of Iceland, our trekkings, inspired by Fjalla Eyvindur, are part of this primordial momentum which always leads humans to pursue their dreams of discovery. At the heart of the great volcanic ridge, through the unique genesis landscapes of the “planet Iceland” in the world, these exceptional adventures are intended only for lovers of wild life, for knowledgeable and reasonably enduring adventurers, than the great air and effort are not repulsive, ready to accept a fairly rustic comfort, sometimes total isolation and an evolving itinerary.

Just wearing a small backpack containing extra clothes for the day: light jacket, wading sandals, camera and picnic
Supported trek with transport for luggage, equipment and stewardship provided by a driver driving a 4×4 vehicle with a trailer (sometimes with pack horses, or even a boat)
Guided in English by an Icelandic, French or English guide living in Iceland or that has been working for a long time in the country
From hut to hut, sometimes a campsite for the treks that go deep in the highlands
With a varied route in wilderness areas, offering an amazing variety of reliefs and primitive landscapes: stretches of lava fields, tundra and wet meadows, deep gorges and muddy torrents, fumaroles and ice caps, pristine lakes, thick foam and enchanting arctic wood…
A serious stewardship and quality food for dinner, excellent fish (the first day) to succulent organic lamb meat, dairy products, vegetables but very little fruit. Small Scandinavian breakfast to energize before starting a good day of trekking. Only the snack lunches that are well balanced but do not vary much, can become vaguely boring at the end trek. ………………………..

WHAT WE DO NOT DO:

  • Plant the camps a week without assistance vehicle in the middle of Landmannalaugar or Skaftafell too crowded for our taste.
  • Following the only marked path of the area: the Laugavegur trail that runs from Landmannalaugar to Thorsmork in 4 days, too busy and with infrastructure that do not follow.
Early bird discount: 10% discount on our treks for early registration

This discount is applicable only to participants registering directly with us online on this site. It will be subtracted from the final balance, provided that the group has reached the minimum of 6 participants
